SPECTRE–cular! Secret Mission In The Ötztal Alps
Sölden, the undisputed #HotSpotintheAlps, is a shooting location of the 24th James Bond movie “Spectre”.
From January to February 2015, the upper Ötztal valley was the place where Agent 007 met the mountains with heaps of snow and action.
Top Secret? Top Secret!
On 15 days a 500-people film crew got together in Sölden, including also James Bond (Daniel Craig), the Bond Girl (Léa Seydoux), Q (Ben Whishaw) and the Killer Mr. Hinx (Dave Bautista). Of course, the entire “Spectre” shooting was classified top secret – typically 007.

Behind the Scenes
Film director Sam Mendes
He was enthusiastic about the fabulous architecture of the ice Q right from start, and he appreciated the huge choice of possibilities and backgrounds close to Gaislachkogl peak and the glacier road.
He called Sölden a “fantastic place” and gave special thanks to his main contact person Jack Falkner (managing director of Bergbahnen Sölden Mountain Lift Company) and his expert team in the closing titles.
Film producer Barbara Broccoli
… was totally enchanted by the prime “5-star infrastructures available in the valley and up to 3000 meters above sea level.” A very important fact for herself and the untiring team.
Sölden – the place too good to be bad!
On a final note…
